About this camp

The Marymount School of New York's Summer Camp offers engaging STEM programs designed to immerse elementary-aged campers in scientific discovery and technological innovation. The STEAM Camp, for rising 2nd to 6th graders, delves into natural sciences including chemistry, astronomy, biology, and physics, complemented by a creative technology curriculum covering coding, programming, engineering, and digital design. Campers utilize state-of-the-art laboratories and makerspaces to design inventions, solve problems collaboratively, and engage in hands-on experimentation. For younger students, the Inventors & Explorers Camp (rising K-1) introduces the world of natural and physical science and robotics through hands-on field studies and experiments. Across both programs, students gain practical skills in scientific inquiry, critical thinking, problem-solving, and technological literacy, fostering a deeper understanding of their world through an enlightening variety of scientific and technological lenses.

What a typical day looks like

Campers are dropped off starting at 8:30 a.m., with programming beginning promptly at 9:00 a.m. A typical day includes activities such as lab science, robotics, tinkering, construction, water play, and sports and games, with dismissal for STEAM Camp at 3:00 p.m..
