The STEM From Dance summer program is a three-week immersive experience designed for girls aged 8-18 to explore the exciting intersection of STEM and dance. Participants engage in hands-on, project-based learning, diving into computer coding, various technology applications, and dance choreography. Girls learn to create innovative dance-technology pieces, such as programmable LED costumes and animated backdrops, culminating in a unique performance for families and the community. The program fosters confidence, technical skills, and creativity, empowering girls to see themselves as creators and future STEM leaders. Through daily movement and tech-powered creativity, students build friendships and gain a deeper understanding of STEM concepts, preparing them to pursue careers in these fields. The camp takes place in Brooklyn and Manhattan, New York.
Programming for NYC Camp sites takes place Monday through Friday between 8:30 AM and 3:30 PM. Each day is jam-packed with dance to get participants moving and to supercharge their STEM skills.
